The action of the adventure novel is set in the XVIII century. A pirate ship under the command of Captain Bernardito captures in the Indian Ocean Fredrick Ryland, heir to the Viscount Chancefield title, who is traveling to England from Calcutta, and his fiancée Emily Gardy. After a shipwreck, Captain Bernardito and Ryland are stranded on a desert island, and Giacomo Grelli, Bernardito's assistant, appropriates Ryland's papers and travels to England under his name. Further action moves from one country to another: England, Italy, Spain, Africa, North America. The characters change: English Luddites, Italian Jesuits, Spanish Inquisitors, pirates, slave traders, African blacks and American Indians... In the fight against the intrigues of enemies and in the quest to restore justice, the heroes become participants in incredible adventures. Fantastic interweaving of plot lines and almost detective moves, battles on land and at sea will not leave the reader indifferent.
For a wide range of readers.
