The novel "Nana" was first published in 1880. It was the ninth work of the large-scale literary cycle "Rugon-Macquaries", created by one of the most famous representatives of French naturalism - Emile Zola. The fate of the novel's protagonist, a Parisian cocotte, vividly demonstrates the underside of French life during the Second Empire. The text is translated by T. Irinova. The book concludes with an essay on the work of Zola and the cycle of his novels "Rugon-Macquarie. The edition is decorated with color illustrations by French engraver and painter Charles Laborde.
