Ivan Alexandrovich Ilyin was a Russian philosopher, writer and publicist, a supporter of the White Movement and a consistent critic of the communist authorities in Russia. He gravitated toward the intellectual tradition of the Slavophiles, and his views strongly influenced the outlook of Russian conservative thinkers of the 20th century. The book "National Russia: Our Tasks" includes Ilyin's articles, which were sent to the leading ranks of the Russian All-Military Union (ROVS), created in exile by General Wrangel. Ilyin's works were a powerful ideological weapon in the hands of the members of the ROVS, who dreamed of the coming national dictator, capable of reviving and renewing the Russian Empire. Now Russia is beginning to "live like Ilyin," whom V.V. Putin called his favorite philosopher. Putin called his favorite philosopher. And to understand what awaits us in the future, it is necessary to know what ideology the current authorities of our country are guided by.
