The Moscow Patriarchate Publishing House has released its latest collection of prayer services, "Molebens." The book consists of two parts. The first part includes services used frequently or constantly; the second part includes those used rarely, occasionally, or only once a year. All services are presented in full in the form of prayer hymns. At the end of each part, as an appendix, are selected psalms for various occasions, composed by St. Athanasius (Sakharov), Bishop of Kovrov.
The first part includes the "Order of Prayer Singing with Akathist," approved by the Holy Synod on May 30, 2019. The second section contains such rites as "The Order of Thanksgiving and Prayer to the Lord God, Sung on Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War," "The Order of a Short Prayer for the Preservation of God's Creation," and "The Order of Prayer in Times of Devastating Disasters and Man-Made Catastrophes," which are blessed by the Holy Synod for performance on specific days of the year. The second section also includes special petitions for those suffering from drunkenness and drug addiction on the day of the Beheading of John the Baptist, as well as petitions and prayers for the feast day of the Blessed Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia. Military rites and prayers during devastating plagues and deadly infections are also included.
The books are printed on high-quality offset paper in two colors, and each volume has a ribbon bookmark.
