The book tells about the history of creation, combat operations and subsequent fate of one of the batteries of the famous Atlantic rampart, located on the English island of Guernsey occupied by the Germans in 1940-1945 and armed with Russian 305-mm cannons in 52 caliber length from the former line ship of the Black Sea Fleet "Emperor Alexander III" (later "Volya" and then - "General Alekseev"). The cannons, which went to France after the Civil War, were given to the Finns in 1940 and were captured by the Germans during transportation. The construction of the original tower-like artillery installations of the battery and its fortifications created by Krupp engineers are described in detail.
The book is of interest to all those interested in the history of the Navy, coastal artillery and fortification.
