In the global context, the Amber Room is the main artifact of Russian culture, our "Mona Lisa", but its fate is a mystery that has turned into a curse, the solution to which has been the subject of many historians, writers and treasure hunters. Alexander Mosyakin, a famous historian, publicist, author of many resonant books, is one of them. Trying to unravel the mystery of the Amber Room, he worked in archives for many years, traveled to the sites of events, interviewed witnesses in search of the missing amber miracle. While studying the personal archive of the famous Leningrad museum curator A. M. Kuchumov, who headed the state commission to search for the Amber Room, in 2011, he discovered documents that shed light on the mysterious fate of a unique masterpiece of art, which was a state secret of the Soviet Union.

The publication of these documents in the author's books became a sensation. Several documentaries were made on the main Russian TV channels based on them, including the two-part film "The Amber Room". And having recently gained access to the previously secret KGB archives, the author found evidence for his previous discoveries and, based on the entire body of data, wrote this study, which is as fascinating as the best examples of a historical detective story.

This book is the result of many years of work - it debunks the myths about the Amber Room and removes the ominous seal of secrecy from its fate.
