The publication is based on the biography of the ascetic, compiled during her lifetime by priest Nikolai Pravdolyubov and his brother Vladimir Pravdolyubov, who were arrested and sentenced to long years in the camps for their handwritten book.
At the age of eight, Blessed Matronushka stopped growing, became completely unable to move, and remained small for the rest of her life. Hundreds of people came to her, even though her physical development had stagnated, with their needs, sorrows, and illnesses. They came not only from the surrounding area but also from the far corners of vast Russia.
People came to the Blessed Matrona of Anemnyasevo, having heard of the miracles that occurred through her prayers. Some came for healing from illnesses, others with spiritual questions, and still others for simple everyday advice. Matronushka delved into the problems of each visitor, encouraging and comforting some in difficult circumstances, calling others to repentance for their sins, teaching and guiding others. And she gave each one helpful advice on how to deal with a particular life situation.
