In this edition, the reader can get acquainted with one of the most famous works of Ernest Seton-Thompson - the story "Little Savages". The story was first published in 1903 and is considered a classic of children's literature today. Its plot revolves around boy friends who settled in the forest to learn about the life of real Indians. Many funny adventures, children's fun and serious problems await them. The translation into Russian was done by Lyubov Borisovna Khavkina. In his works, Ernest wrote about animals, about wildlife, about the interaction of man with the world around him. The writer was deeply concerned about the destructive impact of people on the environment, in particular the extermination of wild animals. He organized youth movements aimed at teaching children how to survive in field conditions and at raising in them a caring attitude towards animals and plants. Thompson's literary legacy is diverse: it includes not only scientific works, but also short stories and novellas for children and adults.
