This edition presents the final parts of the series written by Baum, namely the thirteenth and fourteenth books of the cycle. In "The Magic of Oz", the wizard's son, Gon Aru, accidentally reveals a terrible secret - a magic word that can turn any person into anything. Having learned about this, the gnome Ruggedo, with the help of Gon Aru, intends to conquer the land of Oz. "The Sorceress Glinda of Oz" was published after the death of the writer. In it, the girl Dorothy, Princess Ozma and the sorceress Glinda, familiar to readers, desperately try to stop the war that can happen in the country of the Gillikins. Both fascinating stories are illustrated by the American artist John Rea Neill - it was his drawings that adorned the first editions of magical tales about the beloved land of Oz.
