The book "Logical Sociology" by Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Zinoviev (1922-2006), the patriarch of Russian sociology, thoroughly describes the system he created, called logical sociology. The book continues the publication of the complete collection of works for Zinoviev's 100th anniversary. The author characterizes logical sociology as a logical processing of the language people use when reasoning about social objects. The purpose of processing is to create a logical and methodological apparatus that provides the possibility of cognition and understanding of social phenomena and processes that meets the criteria of scientificity. The book presents the result of the application of this apparatus - a holistic theory of social development, describing and explaining the social order that emerged in the Soviet Union, the social order of modern Western countries, as well as the essence of the evolutionary break in the history of mankind, which occurred in the second half of the XX century, and its global consequences. The main of them is that people have invaded the mechanism of social evolution of mankind, mastering the ability to influence this process in the interests of certain social groups and countries. A. A. Zinoviev's sociological concept is the fruit of his many years of reflection, analysis of social reality, and understanding of man in society. It took its final form in the last six years of his life, during his work at the Moscow Humanities University, where he taught at the Zinoviev School. Based on the materials of the course A. A. Zinoviev read at Moscow State University. Zinoviev prepared and published (in two editions) his Logical Sociology.
