The English kings Henry VI, Edward IV, and Richard III (especially the latter) as characters in the Wars of the Roses are known to many educated people from books by W. Shakespeare or R. Stevenson. However, history is made not only by the elite, but also by the ordinary people who are involved in the course of history and about whom, although sometimes rare and fragmentary, information remains in the sources. This book is about such people, from a simple soldier to the king, who participated in the Wars of the Scarlet and White Rose in England in the second half of the XV century and who left even a small trace of themselves in the documents of the era or on the pages of chronicles. Using the prosopographical method, for the first time in historiography, a database of active participants of the Wars of the Roses was created, their social structure and behavior patterns were analyzed.
