This book is about our heroic Black Sea battleships, which, forming the core of the Black Sea Fleet, honorably defended the sea borders of the Motherland in the hard times of the "Second Patriotic War", as the First World War was called in Russia at that time.
First of all, thanks to the glorious campaigns and victories of these battleships, the Black Sea Fleet remained a combat-ready unit until the very end of the revolutionary year of 1917, unlike their Baltic contemporaries.
It was their well-aimed salvos at the enemy that dispelled the dismissive attitude of foreigners towards the Russian fleet as the "Tsushima fleet".
And at the same time, researchers have written less about any ships of the Russian fleet than about the battleships "Evstafiy" and "Ioann Zlatoust".
A new book by the famous researcher of the Russian fleet N. A. Pakhomov is intended to fill this gap.
The publication is illustrated with drawings, photographs and pictures from state and private collections.
