She lived in reality, this woman the press had dubbed Hyena. A devil. A cannibal. A dismemberer. Felicitas Sanchez Aguillon not only performed clandestine abortions, she murdered dozens of babies already born. And it is in her gruesome story that holds the key to the murders committed forty years after her death ...
San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, 1985. The owners of two funeral parlors discover a female corpse at their doors. Two girls, two friends, sit with their legs spread wide, hands folded on their huge bellies - under their clothes are pillows simulating pregnancy. Each has a perfectly round hole in her forehead. And not a drop of blood. This is exactly how the murders in Ignacio Suarez's most famous novel, a local detective writer, were staged. Suarez himself receives photos of the corpses with the inscription "Find me", and some time later dies in a car accident. And the only clue is a mysterious manuscript... Interweaving two chronological layers, two thriller intrigues and two psychological dramas, the author creates a dark story about the psychology of killers and blood ties, about how evil is born and how far you can escape from the past....
