Vladislav Petrovich Krapivin is a remarkable writer who became a classic during his lifetime, the winner of numerous literary prizes and the founder of the International Children's Literature Prize, which bears his name. The works of the writer have been translated into many languages of the world, some of them have been screened, and the most complete collection of his works numbers 50 volumes. In the story "Airplane Carpet" the writer seems to return to the past, becoming a ten-year-old boy, who together with his old friend wanders through the streets of his native city and even flies over it on an airplane carpet. It's a tale of childhood that every child has. In the end, the real miracle that the heroes of the story discover is not the magic carpet at all, but their readiness to help others and strong friendship that lasts through life.
