The crews of air force and naval aviation aircraft of the People's Republic of China have truly invaluable experience of flying in the waters of Taiwan as part of heterogeneous groups over long distances in conditions as close to combat as possible. Pilots of no other country in the world have such experience. In 2021 alone, the Chinese violated the Taiwanese border about a thousand times.
