"Catriona" is the second novel in Robert Louis Stevenson's two-part series about the adventures of David Balfour. The young man, having become the new owner of the Shaws estate, decides to help his friend Alan leave Scotland and bring justice to James Stewart, falsely accused of a high-profile political assassination. However, David's path is blocked by the Campbell clan, which tries by all means to thwart the young man who has stood up for the lives and honor of his friends. But David is undeterred—he bravely plunges into a whirlwind of dangerous adventures, where he meets his first and true love, the proud and beautiful Catriona Drummond... the daughter of the outlaw James More and the granddaughter of the legendary Scottish outlaw Rob Roy of Clan MacGregor.

The novel "Catriona" (as well as the first part of the duology, "Abducted") was illustrated by Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and outstanding master of historical adventure illustration, Anatoly Zinovievich Itkin. Anatoly Zinovievich has illustrated over 200 works of Russian and world classical literature. His paintings can be found in many museums and galleries, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State A.S. Pushkin Museum in Moscow, the All-Russian A.S. Pushkin Museum in St. Petersburg, and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
