This is a music reader for second-grade students at a children's music school. This collection was compiled to provide a sufficient amount of musical and pedagogical material for teaching a child piano throughout the year in a single textbook. This collection includes pieces from many previously published textbooks, addressing the challenges of this period of study.
In accordance with the curriculum requirements of the Children's Music School and the Children's Art School, this collection includes works representing the following sections: polyphony, large-scale form, pieces, etudes, and ensembles. Although this collection does not include pieces from "The Notebook of Anna Magdalena Bach," "Children's Album" by P. Tchaikovsky, etudes by K. Czerny and A. Lemoine, or other well-known and undoubtedly essential works, the artistic and instructional material provided is sufficiently broad and allows for the selection of the required number of pieces for working with a second-grade student, taking into account their individual needs. The material is clearly divided into sections, organized by difficulty. The entire selection and systematization of the works reflects well-known pedagogical principles and is equally the result of the authors' many years of experience working with children.
