Georgy Mikhailovich Bryantsev (1904-1960) - a man of truly outstanding courage: during the Great Patriotic War he was engaged in training partisans and scouts, he himself repeatedly performed missions behind enemy lines. He was awarded many military decorations, including the Order of Lenin, two Orders of the Red Banner, the Order of the Red Star, the badge of honorary chekist and others. The author knows perfectly well from within the work of the Chekists, and the events described are not entirely fiction. That is why his works are so interesting: they set out the real episodes of the work of security officers to protect our homeland in the most difficult years. For many years descended over Czechoslovakia black shadow of fascist occupation. But the struggle against the hated invaders - a bloody, uncompromising struggle - did not stop for a moment. The Second World War is over. But before the people of Czechoslovakia faces a difficult problem - to determine the path on which to go on. And again the heroes of the novel "It was in Prague" are forced to fight the enemies of the homeland, to defend the conquered in a deadly struggle against fascism.
