The Elementary Algebra Manual is intended for independent work of middle and high school students. The teaching material is divided into two extensive courses, the content of which is built from simple to complex. The first part familiarizes students with the concepts of algebraic expressions, fractions, functions and their graphs, methods of solving equations, operations on arithmetic roots and irrational numbers. In the second part of the course, the topics of inequalities, limits, differential, logarithms and integral are discussed in detail, as well as the basics of trigonometric functions and initial information from probability theory. For the convenience of students, the theoretical material is accompanied by examples of problem solving, and at the end of each chapter there are practical exercises. The aim of the book is not just to train students' mathematical skills, but to develop their analytical thinking by teaching them to break down complex problems into smaller ones and to identify relationships.
