The course "I love Russian A2" was created by the academic team of Liden & Denz to provide coherent and comprehensive teaching material that corresponds to the communicative teaching method. It meets all CEFR standards and requirements.
"I love Russian A2" revises and integrates the language skills presented in the A1 coursebook and is built around modern and pragmatic conversational topics, enriching students' language competence with more complex and advanced grammar and a wider vocabulary.
Fundamental grammar, such as verb types or verbs of motion, are introduced in a communicative form through dialogues, visual images, texts and infographics.
The manual contains 15 lessons divided into 3 modules, each of which is designed to cover all language competences up to 180 contact hours and contains about 200 minutes of authentic audio material, accessible with a QR code for smartphones and links for web browsers. Each module is a well-balanced and well-thought-out mix of grammar, speaking, reading and listening skills. Each module also has a glossary, self-assessment (performance criteria) and a section to test the learner's progress.
This is a dynamic coursebook with clear explanations, well-thought-out exercises and inspiring discussion texts.
The communicative teaching method involves interactive lessons in which learners are encouraged to immediately use the skills they have acquired. The texts, audio materials and dialogues are authentic and simulate realistic scenarios to translate language skills into practical use. The texts and dialogues also serve as a source of cultural information, introducing students to Russian music, history, literature and traditions.
The book contains a sufficient number of exercises to consolidate the material and is used as a workbook.
The A2 Key Book is designed for those who use the coursebook for independent study.
