In the early 1920s, M. Bulgakov consistently creates three novels: "The Devoliad" (1923), "The Fatal Eggs" (1924) and "The Dog's Heart" (1925). It was a direct and violent reaction to the "Sovietization" of Russia, to the enthronement of the caste of "balloons".
The stories "The Devoliad" and "The Fatal Eggs" were published, respectively, in 1924 and 1925. "Dog Heart" waited for its hour forty-three years. Bulgakov-satirist continues the traditions of Russian prose - Gogol and Saltykov-Shchedrin. And in his early novels already read the outline of the future chapters of "The Master and Margarita".
