"I Love Russian" is a bright and modern coursebook for beginners. The coursebook is built on the CEFR system (100-120 contact hours) and created by the academic team of Liden & Denz in accordance with the communicative approach to language teaching and practical learning criteria.
"I Love Russian A1" introduces the learner to the basics of the language through dialogues, visual images, simple texts and infographics. The book consists of 14 lessons divided into 3 modules and contains about 120 minutes of authentic audio material accessible via QR code. Each module covers all language aspects and is a well-balanced and structured mixture of phonetics, grammar, exercises and oral skills, combined in an everyday conversational topic. Each module also contains a glossary, self-assessment (criteria "can be met") and a review / test section.
The communicative teaching method implies interactive lessons, where students are encouraged to immediately apply new material in real-life situations. The lessons are not grammar-oriented; rather, they focus on practical skills. Students have the opportunity to draw their own grammar patterns and thus have knowledge. However, there are grammar reference pages at the end of the book.
The book contains enough exercises to consolidate the material. The A1 Key Book is intended for those who use the textbook for independent study.
