Selected Works by Konstantin Vorobyov

To the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian writer Konstantin Dmitrievich Vorobyov (1919-1975) is published a volume of his selected works (novels "The Scream", "Killed near Moscow", "My Friend Momich", "Why in rakitnoe joy", "Genka, my brother...", "Here came the giant", as well as five stories). Whatever Vorobyov wrote about - about collectivization, about the front, about captivity, about Soviet publishing - he wrote about everything with the blood of his heart, with his own fearlessness. That is why for many years he was reproached with vilification and some of his texts he never saw printed during his lifetime. Only in 2001 - posthumously - Konstantin Vorobyov was awarded the Solzhenitsyn Prize. In 2009, a monument was erected to him in Kursk, the writer's hometown.
