"Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf" is one of the most famous folk tales. Since time immemorial, it has been retold in various variations in the lands that are now called Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. As often happens in folklore, the plot of the tale changed, passing from mouth to mouth. It is believed that there are 30 versions of "Ivan Tsarevich and the Gray Wolf" in Russian folklore, 19 in Ukrainian and 6 in Belarusian. Writer Anna Gurova and artist Anton Lomaev offer their own version of the tale, retelling it in their own way.
