A brilliant novel based on the true story of an artist. Felisa Burshtyn was a world-renowned Colombian sculptor, a fixture of Colombia's artistic scene, and a friend of writer Gabriel García Márquez. Her life is full of vivid and dramatic events. She married young and gave birth to three daughters, but after a sudden divorce, her husband took them away from her.

Creating art brought her immense joy, but it exacted a high price. Felisa always loved Colombia, but due to political persecution, she was forced to flee the country and died in Paris at the age of forty-eight. Although Felisa's life seems entirely superficial, Vázquez has written a true investigative novel, reconstructing and, in places, expanding upon the secret life of a woman who fiercely defended her right to remain free and pursue her artistic endeavors.
