Viktor Aleksandrovich Chizhikov (1935–2020) was the creator of Misha, the teddy bear symbol of the Moscow Olympics. He was also an illustrator and cartoonist, and one of the most renowned artists working in children's books.

"I am a cartoonist for the very young," said Viktor Aleksandrovich, although he began his career with satirical drawings in the magazine "Krokodil." When his children's illustrations appeared in "Vesyolye Kartinki" and "Murzilka," everyone noticed them.

Bright and original, imbued with warmth and kindness, they were loved by both children and adults. This very cheerful and talented artist also illustrated many children's books by famous Russian and foreign writers, as well as his own.

"Children's literature is much more important than adult literature, because it is the foundation of a person's future," Viktor Aleksandrovich believed.

In this book, Viktor Chizhikov emerges not only as a wonderful storyteller and a brilliant cartoonist, but also as a good friend—an enthusiastic, kind, tactful, and very trusting person, as seen by the artist's friends and family.
