"A Walk After" is one of the most significant works by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a pastor of the Confessing Church, the most prominent Lutheran theologian of the 20th century, and a participant in the anti-Nazi church resistance, executed on April 9, 1945, at the age of 39. The book grew out of conversations and sermons given between 1935 and 1937. During the terrifying time of the victorious Nazi dictatorship in Germany, Bonhoeffer calls for remaining faithful to Christ and following him on the narrow path. The second edition corrects inaccuracies, inserts missing sentences, and adds editorial notes. The book is intended for a wide readership.
