In March 1979, on a tiny island in the Caribbean Sea, Grenada, a popular anti-imperialist revolution took place, overthrowing the dictatorial pro-American regime. The people of this country, with the help of Cuba, the USSR and other socialist countries, began to build a society free from the exploitation of man by man. In October 1983, the USA invaded the island and despite the courageous resistance of the Grenadian People's Revolutionary Army and People's Militia suppressed the revolution. The barbaric aggression drew near unanimous condemnation in the UN General Assembly. For the first time in detail and reliably told about the courageous struggle of the small but proud Grenadian people for their freedom and independence. Nikolai Nikolaevich Platoshkin was a Soviet and Russian diplomat, Doctor of Historical Sciences.
