The two-volume monograph by V. I. Goldin presents a comprehensive analysis of the historiography of the Civil War in Russia (1917-1922) over the century that has passed since its end. The processes of studying the war in domestic and foreign historiography, in émigré literature are characterized.

The subject of the author's research is also the military, political, socio-economic and cultural history of the Russian Civil War, including its regional dimension, international intervention and foreign policy actions of the opposing sides. The problems of historiographical comprehension are considered in the context of a comprehensive analysis of the era, which allows us to create a comprehensive picture of the processes that took place in the country as a whole, in its main macro-regions, as well as in the international space.

At the end of the second volume, there is an extensive bibliography, structured into three main sections: encyclopedic, bibliographic and historiographic publications; documentary publications; literature.

The publication is intended for a wide range of readers interested in the problems of history and historiography of the Civil War and foreign intervention in Russia.
