"Glyaden" is a historical drama in which ancient magic permeates the harsh reality of the 17th-century Urals.

Rusai, an Ostyak from Porechye, and his son Bolyak sail to the Glyaden sanctuary to seek protection for their lands. But the pilgrimage turns into a series of deadly trials—mystical creatures, shamanic intrigues, monstrous rituals, and battles with nomads await them. Overcoming curses and temptations, the heroes unwittingly change the fate of the entire Porechye region.

The novel captivates with its distinctive folklore of the indigenous peoples, detailed reconstructions of pagan rituals, and a tense plot. The connection with history gives the novel particular depth: the image of the boy Bolyak is inspired by the fate of the prospector Bolyak Rusayev, one of the iconic, but now forgotten figures whose work contributed to the development of the riches of the Urals and its transformation into the “Fulcrum of the State.”
