This book is dedicated to the early 20th-century photographer Sergei Alexandrovich Orlov (1867–1919), a man with a unique destiny. A peasant from the Kostroma province, he pioneered rural photography in the village of Kortsovo in the Soligalich district as early as 1902. Thanks to his photographs, many iconic monuments have been preserved for history. His sudden death interrupted the photographer-researcher's plans. This is the first publication dedicated to S.A. Orlov and his collection of photographs. It is intended for a general readership.
