How do you explain to a child that greed is bad, really bad? Read them a fairy tale about two sweet little bears—one younger, one older—who found a wheel of cheese by a forest path but couldn't eat it because each thought the other had a bigger piece. A cunning fox took advantage of this and gobbled up the cheese. And who do you think should have given in: the older or the younger bear?
The fairy tale was illustrated by the famous children's artist Yevgeny Rachev. These drawings were first published in 1952.
