The Anglo-Irish writer Bram Stoker achieved worldwide fame and literary immortality as the author of the novel "Dracula", in which he combined folklore and literary plots about vampires with the figure of a bloody Eastern European ruler, the fears and fantasies of the late Victorian era - with centuries of experience in the occult sciences and esoteric teachings, but most importantly - he created a new mythical hero, immortal in every sense. The history, image and very name of Count Dracula, glorified by numerous sequels and film adaptations of Stoker's book, formed the basis of the modern mythology of vampirism, which has become an important part of the culture and art of the 20th, and now the 21st century. This edition also contains the story "Dracula's Guest" (the plot of the famous novel, excluded by Stoker from the final text and subsequently published separately) and is accompanied by illustrations for one of the first editions of Stoker's novel in Russian, completed in 1912 by Alfred Eberling, the court artist of Nicholas II.
