Sashenka Yanovskaya, the daughter of a brilliant doctor, grows up in a difficult time at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. Widespread hunger and poverty, pre-revolutionary sentiment literally hung a storm cloud over the inhabitants of a small town. All this can not fail to notice sensitive and caring Sashenka: she tries her best to help people who are afraid to ask for help, because she wants to resemble her father, who gratuitously, at any time of the day and night treats the sick. Alexandra Brushtein's trilogy "The Road Goes Away..." is largely autobiographical. The author, born at the end of the XIX century, writes the work in the XX century. That trilogy and interesting, because the reader is given the opportunity to learn about the events of tsarist Russia at first hand. Easily, with a sense of humor and warmth, the author recalls those times.
