Pavel Selukov was born in 1986 on the outskirts of Perm. He ran away from kindergarten, changed two schools and five grades, graduated from college. At the age of thirty he began to write. Now he is the author of several collections of short stories, winner of the prize named after Kataev and finalist of the "Bolshoi Bolshoi". Kataev and a finalist for the "Big Book".
"Extract Tarkovsky" is "nonintelligent stories" about Perm life of the nineties and noughties. The heroes of the book are marginalized and troubled teenagers, they are also romantics and philosophers. And among them Dostoevsky, Vonnegut, Hemingway, Dovlatov, Brodsky... "To drown out the crunch of bones of either the heroes or the ever-repeating Russian matrix, the author abundantly uses irony and self-irony, which, fortunately, almost does not distract from the masterfully and dizzyingly constructed plots." Eugenia Nekrasova
