Plants are easier to understand than people...
In one unremarkable neighborhood of London, on one unremarkable roof there is an extremely remarkable garden: by its mere existence it breaks a dozen laws. The culprit of the lush vegetation is a professor of botanical toxicology, Eustacia Rose. In her little paradise there are hardly any roses or cacti, but there is a place for the most beautiful - and the most poisonous - plants. They are her passion.
Her life would have gone on like a jungle vine if one night it hadn't been spoiled by... A scream! The young, beautiful neighbor from across the street was attacked and then disappeared. But she's not the only one: several deadly poisonous plants have been stolen from Eustacia's garden, and now the professor is the prime suspect in a murder case.
She knows she's innocent.
Knows what happened to her neighbor.
And knows who the girl's last guest was.
But how do you convince justice of your innocence when you've already broken the law...?
