The book includes poems by the classic of Russian children's literature Samuil Yakovlevich Marshak, illustrated by one of the most famous masters of Soviet book illustration Vladimir Mikhailovich Konashevich.
The two greatest masters together created books that are rightfully considered the golden classics of children's literature.

"What an absent-minded person", "Fire", "Merry Counting" and other poems and songs were written by S. Ya. Marshak in different years and have different author's editions, but the most interesting ones were included in the book "For Children".

V. M. Konashevich also made different versions of drawings for the poems of S. Ya. Marshak and here are presented illustrations made in the 1950-1960s.

The book "For Children" gives the reader of the 21st century the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of a remarkable book graphic artist, who belonged to the heirs of the Russian art school and was one of the founders of the new children's book. For caring parents and, of course, for children.
