Nikolay Pavlovich Zadornov (1909-1992) was a famous writer and author of novels about the exploration of Siberia and the Far East by Russian explorers. A special place in the work of N. P. Zadornov is occupied by a series of works about the outstanding navigator Captain G. I. Nevelskoy (1813-1876), the leader of the Amur expedition, which contributed to the strengthening of Russia in the Pacific Ocean.
