In 1912, Vladimir Rusanov decided to undertake a daring attempt to sail a small vessel along the Northern Sea Route from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. Rusanov's expedition disappeared, and it was only in 1934 that the first traces of it were discovered off the western coast of Taimyr. In the 1970s, another Rusanovite camp was discovered, but the circumstances of the expedition's tragic demise remain a mystery. The Arctic remains unsolved, and there are still those trying to unravel this mystery. The mysterious demise of Vladimir Rusanov's expedition and the attempts to solve it are recounted in this book.
