...On October 23, 1915, the course of the unlucky cruiser was crossed by a torpedo from the British submarine E-8. This time the torpedo was apparently not seen. The cruiser was lost almost instantly, as the explosion of the torpedo detonated the cellars. Of the 675 people on board, only three survived. Thus ended the life of "Prince Adalbert"....
