This edition, published by Blagovest Publishing House for 2027, combines an Orthodox desk calendar and a prayer book. It includes troparia and kontakia for each day of the year—short prayerful hymns glorifying the Lord, the Most Holy Theotokos, and the saints commemorated on that day. For Orthodox Christians, the troparion calendar becomes more than just a reference book; it becomes a faithful companion, helping to attune the mind and heart to prayerfulness in accordance with the church calendar. Similar editions already exist—for example, the troparion calendar "Wonderful is God in His Saints" from Lestvitsa Publishing House, which also contains troparia, kontakia, and magnifications for each day of the year, along with information on which saints are traditionally prayed to for specific needs.
"The Grace of God" invites the reader to experience the year 2027 in the rhythm of liturgical tradition, discovering the beauty and depth of church poetry. In the morning, a glance at the calendar reveals the current feast day and briefly glorifies God or the saint of the day with prayer. At the end of many such publications, a useful appendix is added: a list of the Synaxis of Saints, an index of names, and information on which saints and under what circumstances one can turn to with fervent prayer. This publication, published under the auspices of the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church, will be a welcome addition to the home library, to private prayer, and to those who strive to make each day a meaningful step on the path to Christ.
