Ivan Andreevich Krylov went down in the history of Russian literature as the author of fables that have remained popular and relevant for two centuries. Many of his lines have become catchphrases, and we say them every day: “Oh, my little dog! She must be strong…”, “You are to blame for the fact that I want to eat…”, “But the cart is still there”. Expressive plots, witty observations, accurate conclusions - all this makes the fables of I.A. Krylov a real textbook of life, which is fun and interesting to read.

The book includes over 60 works: both widely known (“The Dragonfly and the Ant”, “The Crow and the Fox”, “The Quartet”) and those published quite rarely. Bright, expressive illustrations for the fables were created by Anatoly Eliseev.
