The monograph by the candidate of historical sciences A. A. Chemakin (St. Petersburg State University), written in the genre of historical investigation, is dedicated to the activities of the "Anonymous Center" and other underground monarchist organizations in the South of Russia during the Civil War. The most high-profile terrorist acts committed by the extreme right are examined in detail: the murders of the commissar of the Romanian Front S. G. Roshal, the chairman of the Kuban Regional Council N. S. Ryabovol, the chief of counterintelligence of the headquarters of the Novorossiya troops G. A. Kirpichnikov, the former chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the South of Russia, Lieutenant General I. P. Romanovsky, the assassination attempt on the deputy of the Don Circle P. M. Ageyev. Conspiratorial circles, unauthorized counterintelligence agencies, intrigues and conflicts between the leaders of the southern Russian White movement - the reader will learn about all this on the pages of the book, based on materials from two dozen Russian and foreign archives. The main part of the book is supplemented by the text of the "Notes" of D. B. Bologovsky, the leader of the terrorist "special intelligence team" in the detachment of Colonel M. G. Drozdovsky, published in full for the first time. The book is intended for both specialists and a wide range of readers interested in the history of Russia.
