Waking up on the floor of his own living room, John Brenner finds his head splitting with pain, hours wiped from his memory without a trace, an empty bottle of vodka on the coffee table, and a gun and a dead girl with a bullet in her chest lying nearby. A mysterious van full of surveillance equipment appears - and disappears - in the woods near the house. Friends and family assure him that John is the victim of an oniric hallucination - confused dream with reality. However, the dead girl does not want to leave the artist alone. Again and again she comes to him at night, leads him to the forest, to a deep hole in the middle of the meadow, and repeats: "You forgot something".
