The sixties in America were the time of rock and roll, anti-war protests, mass youth demonstrations, a time of re-evaluation of all “native American” values. This was the time when the tradition of the American left, previously driven underground, made itself known. This book tells about the so-called “Weathermen” (“Weathermen”) – the most radical group of the left in the USA at that time. While their peers participated in the hippie movement, went on protest marches and pasted up posters, the “Weathermen” went underground, lived in safe houses, destroyed supplies prepared for the army, set fire to US army equipment, shot at police officers. And in the end they attacked the White House and the Capitol. The book was written by participants in those events.
