African Wars. Bloody rivers of the black continent

Throughout the twentieth century, Africa was plagued by incessant wars: first between colonial powers for dominance over its wealth, then between colonizers and national liberation movements, and then between new political forces in the already independent states. Circumstances and political regimes changed. Colonizers changed, came and went, local dictators, chiefs, even emperors took the place of colonizers. The only thing that did not change was war. New generations grew up on the ashes, only to find themselves on the warpath again and again. Will it never end? Will the "warring continent" never know peace?
