I left my first review of this store three years ago, almost immediately after discovering it, I was so delighted. Sometimes initial impressions fade with time. Here, the opposite happened: over the past three years, the store has only become more captivating.
I live in Germany and order books from here several times a year, especially during online sales. And now I think this might just be the best online bookstore I've ever used.
Three years ago, I wrote that it wasn't always possible to find rare and specialized publications, such as genealogy, in their selection. Since then, I've learned the most important thing: if the book you need isn't listed on the website, just ask. If the book is available elsewhere—from the publisher, another store, Amazon, or even used book dealers—the staff will try to find it and order it. This way, I was able to obtain books that would have been quite difficult to find on my own.
A special, huge thank you to the service. Emails are responded to quickly, and any questions are handled professionally and humanely. In three years and numerous orders, I think I've only had one delivery issue, and it was resolved fairly quickly, and I received my books.
The books themselves have always arrived in excellent condition and very well packaged. Perhaps, in my German-European opinion, there's a bit too much plastic in the packaging 😄, but it feels like the package could survive a flood and copper pipes. I can't promise anything about fire.
The prices, especially during regular sales, are very good, the selection is huge, and the ability to order almost any available book makes this store indispensable to me.
I envy the people in Latvia who have access to even higher discounts, but then I'd be living in a house built of books.
I wish the store prosperity, good books, and many years of business. And I will definitely remain a loyal customer.
