Sergey Babushkin, the author of this guide, is an experienced tour guide with seven years of experience. The length of the routes he has compiled is from 7.5 to 10 km - a distance that a pedestrian with a book in hand can cover in 3-4 hours. The walks will give the most complete idea of the architecture of St. Petersburg, from the era of Peter the Great to the 1950s. The first four walks are dedicated to the historical part of the left bank of the Neva. The next two - to Vasilievsky Island and Petrogradskaya Side. The seventh and eighth routes are laid along the outlying districts - Narvsky and Moskovsky. The last chapter offers tourists several additional routes from 1 to 4 km long, including along the Alexander Nevsky Lavra and the distinctive Petrogradsky District.
