The book is published in the series "Feasts" and traditionally consists of three parts: texts of the divine service of the feast, statutory instructions and historical articles, and notes of the hymns of the feast.
The first part of the book contains the sequence of hours "sung on the Christmas Eve" and the Service for the Nativity of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, which are set out as fully as possible, so that it is possible to serve, almost without referring to other books. The text is printed in large Church Slavonic font in two colors. The verses, irmosi and other sung parts of the service are marked for singing. Ornate headpieces, endings and letters are not only pleasing to the eye, but also make it easier to find the right place in the service.
In the second part of the book there are detailed liturgical instructions, which explain how to conduct the service, if Christmas Eve and Christmas Day falls on one or another day of the week. Of particular interest are the explanations of the Gospel reading. Two articles on the history and meaning of the feast of Christmas are also printed here.
The third part of the book is the sheet music, which covers the entire cycle of Christmas hours and Christmas Eve services and is available to most church choirs.
