The ninth and final issue of CHTIV this year isn't just a New Year's and festive one, but also a practical and table-oriented one, and it's dedicated to food.

The editors asked themselves: what role does food play in our lives and in history? The answer was a fascinating culinary journey. First, the CHTIV editors traveled back in time and imagined who they would have been sitting with at the legendary Moscow restaurant "Yar" at the very beginning of the 20th century. Then they studied dishes prepared for New Year's, dating back to the time of Peter the Great, and delved into the life of the culinary revolutionary Anastas Mikoyan. They returned to the present day and met those who are currently feeding Rus': the best chefs from Kaliningrad to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

The hero of the New Year's issue is Sergey Bezrukov. The leading actor of 2025, a man who has played all the greats in the country's history, at the request of "Chtiv," transformed himself into a Hollywood star and frankly spoke about how popularity and leading roles can hinder one's career, about working on the show "Dolls," about Sergei Yesenin, and about red caviar.
